Twitter will monetize videos with pre-roll ads

Twitter’s Amplify product will insert ads in videos chosen by advertisers by category. It’s similar to YouTube pre-roll ads where YouTubers get a share of ad revenue, although it’s not known at this moment what percentage of income Twitter users will receive. According to BBC the company will take 30% cut but this isn’t official yet.

At this moment pre-roll ads are only available to publishers and advertisers from USA.
